Though Jets head coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday he expected Nick Mangold to play Monday night against Miami, the center did not dress for practice Thursday for the second straight day. Mangold returned to action Sunday against the Patriots after suffering a right high-ankle sprain in Week 2 against the Jaguars.
Mangold was joined on the sidelines by defensive end Ropati Pitoitua (knee) and cornerback Isaiah Trufant (hamstring), as well as wide receiver Logan Payne, who will definitely not play with his dislocated wrist.
Running back LaDainian Tomlinson (calf), cornerback Donald Strickland (concussion) and long snapper Tanner Purdum (low back) all had limited participation in the practice.
Cornerback Marquice Cole (hamstring), defensive tackle Marcus Dixon (shoulder), linebacker Garrett McIntyre (concussion), linebacker Bart Scott (toe), defensive tackle Martin Tevaseu (low back) and defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder) all participated fully.
