New York Jets starting Center Nick Mangold was riding the pine today but is not expected to miss Monday Night’s (Oct. 17, 2011) game against the Miami Dolphins despite sitting out Wednesday’s practice.
The Washington Post has more:
Mangold, who returned last Sunday after missing two games with a high right ankle sprain, worked with trainers and did some jogging off to the side Wednesday during the team’s light practice. The Jets were likely giving their All-Pro center an extra day to recover since they don’t play again until Monday night.
The 2-3 Jets are looking to rebound after last weekend’s loss to the New England Patriots, but they can expect a desperate Miami team hoping to avoid an 0-5 start.
