2015 Super Bowl Goes Back To Arizona

One year after MetLife Stadium, the East Rutherford, N.J. home of the New York Giants and New York Jets, hosts the first outdoor cold weather Super Bowl in 2014 the NFL's championship game will return to a warm-weather climate. The NFL announced today that the 2015 Super Bowl, otherwise known as Super Bowl XLIX, will be held in Arizona.

Arizona won the bid for the 2015 game over Tampa Bay. If memory serves, Tampa Bay also lost out to the Giants-Jets bid for the 2014 game. The decision took two rounds of voting, with Arizona getting a majority in the second round of balloting.

Maybe this is a good omen for 2015 for the Giants. Arizona last hosted the Super Bowl in 2008 when the Giants upset the Patriots, 17-14, in Super Bowl XLII.
