Good morning, New York sports fans! It's all about green today on the New York sports scene.
↵With apologies to all the other teams in the market, and ignoring those white snow flakes that are falling in the upstate area where I live, the New York Jets are in Indianapolis tonight to take on the Colts in an AFC wild-card weekend playoff game. That is the only event that really matters.
↵Can the Jets handle Peyton Manning? Can Mark Sanchez make the throws he needs to make with his injured shoulder? The Colts have run the ball well in winning four straight games. Can the Jets deal with that? Can they run the ball well enough to keep Sanchez from having to win the game himself? Game time is 8 p.m. ET.
↵Our Joe Caporoso has been filing reports all week. If you haven't been reading (and why haven't you?) you have plenty of time to catch up.
↵Keep it here tonight for updates or head over to Gang Green Nation to discuss the action.
↵Oh, and I'm sure Jets fans are hoping the playoffs don't turn out to be a 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams.'
