The Cotton Bowl between Texas A&M and LSU is tonight, and here are some players for New York Giants and New York Jets fans to watch as we begin making 2011 NFL Draft projections.
↵Texas A&M
↵The Giants will be in the market for a linebacker, and Von Miller is the guy to watch here. Miller, though, might be a better fit for a 3-4 system ... and he will likely be gone by the time the Giants pick 19th in the first round, anyway. Wide receiver Jeff Fuller might interest Jets fans. Offensive tackle Kyle Hix could be a late-round selection, and the Giants should be looking for offensive line help.
↵LSU
↵Defensive tackle Drake Nevis is an under-sized defensive tackle at 6-foot-1/2 inches, 289 pounds, but is projected to go early in the draft, possibly the second round. He is a 4-3 tackle, and he might interest the Giants as Barry Cofield is a free agent. Cornerback Patrick Peterson is a guy who should be off the board long before the Giants or Jets get to pick in the first round, in fact he could go in the first five picks of the draft.
