Morning Coffee! 'Why Can't We Be Friends?'

Good morning, New York sports fans! I guess you could call this the "Why Can't We Be Friends?" edition of 'Morning Coffee!" Thus, the video above.

  • Antrel Rolle of the New York Giants and defensive captain Justin Tuck are friends again after clearing the air over Rolle's critical comments this week. Giants linebacker Keith Bulluck and Tennessee Titans management are definitely not friends anymore.
  • New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is not feeling very friendly toward wide receiver Braylon Edwards these days. We have to wait a couple of days to find out how friendly fans in Miami feel toward Jason Taylor of the Jets, who spent 12 seasons with the Dolphins.
  • New York Yankees pitcher Javier Vazquez and the Tampa Bay Rays probably are not friends after Vazquez hit three straight Rays hitters during the Yankees 10-3 loss Thursday night. Speaking of not being friends, the Boston Red Sox invade Yankee Stadium for a three-game series this weekend. The Yankees can be extremely unfriendly hosts and eliminate the Red Sox from playoff contention this weekend. Not to be unfriendly myself, but I very much like the sound of that.
  • The New York Red Bulls are in Los Angeles to meet the Galaxy in a star-studded MLS match tonight. Speaking of friends, our own Howard Megdal is wondering what it will take for Thierry Henry and Juan Pablo Angel to mesh their skills on the pitch.
