Braylon Edwards' DWI arrest may have just become more complicated, as the Jets receiver is already on probation for his involvement in a fight outside a Cleveland nightclub. "If found guilty of DWI," Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star Ledger writes, "[Edwards] could be found in violation of probation and may face jail time."
However, such a conclusion is contingent upon a future court hearing, in which a Cleveland judge would rule independently. In effect, Edwards would not automatically be in violation of his probation even if found guilty of DWI.
It's important to note that merely being arrested and charged is not grounds for violating probation, so Edwards isn't in hotter water just yet. But the possibility exists.
