Good morning, New York sports fans! If you are a New York Jets fan, last night was a nightmare -- but, yes, it really did happen.
↵The New England Patriots really did embarrass the Jets, 45-3, in a Monday Night Football showdown between the two teams who entered the game 9-2. Jets coach Rex Ryan called it "humiliating." On ESPN Radio this morning Merrill Hoge called the Jets "pretenders," since they have only one victory this season over a winning team. Until proven otherwise, you have to think Hoge is correct.

- It's an exciting time for Syracuse as the Orange are in the Pinstripe Bowl. That excitement has to be dampened, however, by the news that punter Rob Long is suffering from a brain tumor. All we can do is wish the young man well. ↵
