2011 NFL Draft: Where Will Giants, Jets Select?

With just one week left in the NFL season the selection order for the 2011 NFL Draft is beginning to crystallize. How does that affect the New York Giants and New York Jets? If the draft were held today the Giants would pick 19th and the Jets, who have one more victory and have already qualified for the playoffs, would pick 26th.

Our friends at SB Nation's Mocking the Draft have compiled the complete draft order, and have mocked the first 10 selections. I won't give away everything, but the Carolina Panthers will be getting the No. 1 pick, and MTD has them taking Stanford star quarterback Andrew Luck -- provided he declares for the draft, of course.

What about the Giants and Jets? Well, here at SB Nation New York we will be providing plenty of draft coverage in the weeks and months to come before draft day. Big Blue View (Giants) and Gang Green Nation (Jets) will also be providing in-depth coverage.

The Giants have several areas of concern they could look to address in the draft, including the aging offensive line, running back, linebacker, possibly even defensive tackle, cornerback and tight end.

For the Jets, weapons to add around young quarterback Mark Sanchez and pass rushers to help replenish Rex Ryan's defense might be on the menu.

We are, however, a long way away from narrowing anything down. So, stay tuned.
