Well, now we know where Randy Moss and Shawne Merriman will play, and neither one of them will be in New York for the Jets or Giants.
Moss has been claimed by the Tennessee Titans
[Titans coach Jeff] Fisher said in a statement after the Titans were awarded Moss that the receiver offered an opportunity to upgrade their offense.
“Randy has been a tremendous threat where ever he has been,” Fisher said. “We will bring him up to speed as quickly as possible.”
The winless Buffalo Bills (0-7) claimed Merriman. They are obviously gambling that Merriman, just 26, can return to the form he displayed his first three seasons in the league, when he record 39.5 sacks. He has just four over the past three seasons.
“As we have said many times before, we are constantly evaluating our roster and will do things that we feel can improve our team,” Bills general manager Buddy Nix said. "We think Shawne can help our defense and so we have claimed him off waivers. He has been an impact player in a 3-4 defense and we feel this is a good opportunity to make our team better.”
