Good morning, New York sports fans. Here is a quick look at the city New York sports scene.↵
- Let's get right to it. Could Randy Moss, who is being released by Minnesota, wind up as a New York Jet? The Jets are 27th in terms of priority, so most other teams would have to pass on Moss for the Jets to have a chance. The Jets, though, are all in to win this season and that makes you wonder if they would think about dealing with Moss for the short term. Jets coach Rex Ryan refused to talk about it, but it is still a good question. ↵
- The New York Giants put cornerback Bruce Johnson on IR Monday and announced that Pro Bowl center Shaun O'Hara won't play Sunday against Seattle due to a Lis Franc sprain in his foot. It has been a rough year for O'Hara, who already missed three games with bursitis in his ankle.
- The New Jersey Devils lost again Monday night, and they lost Zach Parise to knee surgery. ↵
- The New York Rangers had a good night, defeating the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2. ↵
