SB Nation Cleveland is reporting that Cleveland linebacker Marcus Benard is “stable and alert” at a local hospital after collapsing in the locker room earlier today.
Benard was sitting in a chair when he suddenly collapsed to the floor. After initially believing Benard was kidding around, teammates, including fellow linerbacker Matt Roth called for team training staff.
Benard, 25, leads the Browns with 4.5 sacks this season. The 3-5 Browns host the 6-2 New York Jets this weekend.
