The New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers are locked in a scoreless tie after one quarter of play from MetLife Stadium.
In a battle of 2-1 teams, the defenses ruled the first quarter, but San Francisco finished the quarter driving into New York territory. The 49ers have the ball at the Jets' 11-yard line to begin the second quarter.
Each team punted twice, not being able to develop much of a rhythm until San Francisco's current 5-play, 57-yard drive that led them into the red zone for the first time today.
Mark Sanchez completed two of his three passing attempts for 33 yards. Shonn Greene carried five times for the Jets, picking up 16 yards.
Alex Smith was 2-for-5 for 31 yards passing for San Francisco in the first quarter.
San Francisco is trying to bounce back after losing their first game of the season last week. The Jets come into the game after an overtime victory in Week 3.
