The New York Jets trail the Jacksonville Jaguars, 3-0, at halftime at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. The Jets finished the half with less than 100 yards of total offense.
Mark Sanchez completed 7-of-11 passes for 51 yards for the Jets, who were conservative offensively but still managed to turn the ball over twice on fumbles. Running backs Shonn Greene and Bilal Powell had seven carries apiece in the half, but combined for just 38 yards on the ground for the Jets, who continue to leave head coach Rex Ryan offensively-starved.
Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne finished the half 12-of-19 for 90 yards and a costly interception deep in Jets territory that ended a scoring opportunity for Jacksonville. Josh Scobee's 31-yard field goal at the 6:47 mark in the second quarter capped off a seven-play, 44-yard drive and remains the only scoring to this point.
Jacksonville picked up 143 yards of offense in the half and maintained a two-minute advantage in time of possession.
