Jets vs. Titans update: Jake Locker touchdown gives Titans 14-10 lead after third quarter

The Jets took the lead briefly, but gave it right back to the Titans.

A back-and-forth third quarter saw the New York Jets lead briefly, but a Jake Locker touchdown gave the advantage right back to the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are on top, 14-10, heading into the fourth quarter.

The third quarter got off to a bad start, as Mark Sanchez threw his second interception of the night. This one, just like the first, was picked off by Jason McCourty.

The Jets finally got things going offensively later in the third quarter, due in part to a poor Titans punt that gave New York the ball on Tennessee's 35-yard line.

Four plays later, Sanchez connected with tight end Jeff Cumberland on a 17-yard touchdown pass. It was Sanchez's first touchdown pass since Nov. 22

But that lead didn't last long. On the Titans' next drive, they marched the ball down field and scored on a 13-yard touchdown run by Locker.

The Jets are eliminated from playoff contention with a loss.
