The time slots for the New York Jets and New York Giants NFL Week 16 games have been changed due to the league's flex scheduling policy.
The Jets face the San Diego Chargers that week in a game that was originally scheduled to be aired by NBC on Sunday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET. Instead, that game will air at 1 p.m. on CBS. NBC will show the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football.
The Giants meet the Baltimore Ravens that week. That game has been moved to the 4:25 p.m. time slot and will be shown by FOX.
The schedule changes are really a kick in the teeth for the 6-7 Jets. Their game against the Chargers might have playoff implications, but it is clearly a matchup of two teams who are not as good as the 49ers and Seahawks. In all honesty, I can't blame NBC at all for not wanting to showcase the Jets.
