Antonio Cromartie guarantees Jets will make playoffs

New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie stated in an interview with NFL Network's "NFL AM" on Thursday morning that the Jets will make the playoffs this season.

Explaining that the team believes in head coach Rex Ryan and the schemes his staff runs, Cromartie expressed his confidence in the Jets' playoff hopes, via NFL.com:

"The Jets will make the playoffs this year. We believe in each other, we believe in what coach (Rex) Ryan and his staff is putting us to schemes and stuff, so we definitely are going to make the playoffs this year."

Later on Thursday, Ryan stated that he agrees with Cromartie and that the entire team believes they will be in the playoffs this season.

As of this time, New York (3-5) sits in third place in the AFC East with a 2-2 division record. They sit two games back of the first place New England Patriots, who have a 2-0 record in the division. In terms of the wild card, the Jets are the No. 10 overall team in the AFC and are two games back of sixth place (currently held by the Pittsburgh Steelers, who defeated the Jets in Week 2).
