The Seattle Seahawks opened as 5 1/2-point favorites for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
On OddsShark.com, the spread is as high as 7 points in favor of the Seahawks.
Seattle enters the game with a 5-4 record. After starting the year 4-2, which included a one-point victory over the New England Patriots and a controversial victory over the Packers, Seattle has lost two of its last three games. The Seahawks are coming off a 30-20 victory over Minnesota last week.
The Jets (3-5) and quarterback Mark Sanchez have struggled this season. New York started the 2012 campaign 2-1, but now have lost four of its last five games. The Jets are coming off a bye, but got beat up by Miami, 30-9, the week before.
While the Jets score more points than the Seahawks per game this season (21 to 18.9), Seattle owns one of the best defenses in football. It's allowing 17.1 points per game, while the Jets have allowed 25 points per game.
Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday in Seattle.
