Mark Sanchez did not have his best game against the Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, completing just nine of his 22 pass attempts for 124 yards, one interception and no touchdowns. More importantly, the Jets lost for the third straight week and now have a 3-6 record. The time to make a push for the playoffs is decreasing, and some in New York are continuing to wonder if it's time for a change at quarterback.
Despite the team's struggles, head coach Rex Ryan continues to back Sanchez. He does not feel Tim Tebow is the answer to their questions as of right now. Here is the latest from Ryan, courtesy of ESPN New York:
"I believe we can win with Mark and I believe we can win with (Tim) Tebow, but I'm not going to let you or anyone else convince me otherwise," Ryan said after Sunday's 28-7 loss to the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field. "This is how I feel. It gives us the best opportunity to win games, and that's the only reason I make any move."
The Jets have a winnable game with the Rams awaiting them in Week 11. If Sanchez is able to right the ship, perhaps he keeps his job the rest of the season without further questions being raised. Ryan has done a nice job sticking with his starter up until this point, but at one point or another a team needs answers.
