The New York Daily news is reporting the New York Jets are not looking to trade backup quarterback/personal punt protector Tim Tebow before the NFL's trade deadline on Tuesday (Oct. 30).
Jets' beat writer Manish Mehta was told by sources that head coach Rex Ryan actually would like to get Tebow more offensive snaps moving forward -- will that be the case Sunday against the Miami Dolphins (1 p.m. ET on CBS)?
So far this season, New York (3-4) has sparingly used Tebow (22 carries for 76 yards in seven games), and the limited amount of touches has created speculation that the franchise was looking to trade him to a team that could use him as a running back or as a primary Wildcat quarterback.
However, that will not be the case. It looks like Tebow will stay in New York, at least for the remainder of the season.
But, SB Nation New York is wondering if you were the Jets, would you trade Tebow before the trade deadline? You can vote in its poll here.
