Jets running back Joe McKnight played hurt last Sunday against the Patriots, and said on Wednesday that he'll be ready for this Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Jets running back Joe McKnight, who has been battling an ankle injury, told The Star-Ledger Wednesday that he will play this Sunday in New York's game against the Miami Dolphins.

McKnight played through pain on Sunday in a 29-26 overtime loss to the New England Patriots, rushing for 23 yards on seven carries. He has been limited in practice so far this week, though that doesn't seem to worry the 24-year-old out of USC.

"We got a bye week and I'll rest on the bye week," he said, looking forward to the Jets' week off after the Miami game. After that, New York does not take the field again until Nov. 11 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Linebacker Calvin Pace, meanwhile, sat out of practice Wednesday with a shin injury. Head coach Rex Ryan expects Pace to be ready to play on Sunday.

Others who missed practice Wednesday for the Jets include (also from the Newark Star-Ledger):

NT Kenrick Ellis (knee), S Eric Smith (knee), RB Bilal Powell (shoulder), RB Joe McKnight (ankle), TE Jeff Cumberland (wrist), LB Bart Scott (toe), and C Nick Mangold (ankle)
