The New York Jets trailed early, but stormed back to take a 21-6 halftime lead over the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium. New York scored all 21 of its points in the second quarter.
Stephen Hill got the Jets' scoring started early in the second quarter when he caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Mark Sanchez to put the Jets up, 7-3.
New York scored again after Antonio Cromartie intercepted Andrew luck.
A penalty took Cromartie's pick-six off the board, but the Jets still had the ball and eventually scored on a Shonn Greene 10-yard touchdown run. Greene carried 14 times for 91 yards in the first half.
Late in the first half, the Jets added a third touchdown on a 5-yard pass from Sanchez to Jason Hill, putting New York up, 21-6, just 31 seconds before halftime. The score was set up by a fake-punt pass completion from Tim Tebow to Nick Bellore.
Indianapolis scored on two field goals by Adam Vinatieri, one from 20 yards in the first quarter and one from 50 yards out in the second quarter.
The Colts are 2-2 on the season, coming off a 30-27 win over the Green Bay Packers a week ago. The Jets are 2-3 thus far in 2012 after losing, 23-17, to the Houston Texans last week.
