New York Islanders Vs. St. Louis Blues Preview: Isles Aim For Fifth Straight Road Win

The New York Islanders, winners of four straight road games, head to St. Louis on Thursday night to take on the Blues at the Scottrade Center, where St. Louis has recorded at least a point in each of its last 19 tries.

The Islanders haven't won five consecutive road games in over a decade, and a win on Thursday night would help them keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race. New York sits eight points back of Toronto for the final playoff spot entreating Thursday's action.

Goalie Evgeni Nabokov may start for the Islanders, and he's in the midst of a stretch of razor sharp play that includes eight wins in his last 11 starts, and a goals against average under one in his six road starts during that time.

St. Louis will counter will either Brian Elliott or Jaroslav Halak, each of whom has been sensational at home this season, where the Blues have lost only three regulation games in 31 outings.

The can be seen in New York at 8 p.m. EST on MSG+.
