Islanders Vs. Sabres Preview

The New York Islanders continue their home stand against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday (7 p.m., MSG Plus).

In their last time out, the Islanders did everything but win. They out-shot the Philadelphia Flyers 35-22 and controlled play throughout, but still managed a 3-2 defeat. It was the 26th New York loss in the teams' last 28 meetings.

"It's frustrating for the guys," Isles coach Jack Capuano said. "This is one that I really thought we played well. We came out slow in the first five or six minutes and didn't generate what we wanted to generate. But after that, I thought we played extremely well."

Buffalo has lost seven straight regulation games on the road and will be beginning a seven-game road trip on Saturday. The Sabres beat Toronto on Friday, 3-2, but it was just the team's third win in its last 12 games (3-7-2).
