Looking to try and get themselves out of the bottom of the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division standings, the New York Islanders travel to Madison Square Garden before hosting two winnable-road games this week (Dec. 26-Jan. 1). The Isles (11-16-6, 28 points), who are 11 points behind fourth-fourth place New Jersey Devils, play at the New York Rangers, Monday, Dec. 26 (7 p.m.) before hosting the Western Conference's Calgary Flames, Thurs., Dec. 29 (7 p.m.) and the Edmonton Oilers, Sat., Dec. 31 (1 p.m.). All games will be broadcast locally on MSG+.

On Thursday, the Flames (17-15-4, 38 points) sit in third-place in the Northwest Division, which features Friday's opponent, the Oilers (15-16-3, 33 points) in last place. This season, the Islanders have compiled just a 6-9-3 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.
