Islanders At Jets: New York Searches For Second Consecutive Victory

Winners of four of their last six road games, the New York Islanders plays at the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday night (8:30 p.m. on MSG+).

The New York Islanders look to continue their recent road success Tuesday night as the Isles visit the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre (8:30 p.m. on MSG+). In their last six road games, the Islanders (10-14-6) have earned four victories, while the Jets (15-13-4) are in the middle of a 15-game stretch that features 13 home games. New York could also earn back-to-back victories for the first time in almost two weeks.

On Saturday, the Islanders edged the Minnesota Wild, 2-1, in a shootout. Islanders center Frans Nielsen netted the game's only shootout goal, while defenseman Andrew MacDonald netted his second goal of the season.

The Jets have won six of their last eight games, including a 5-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks Saturday. Left winger Evander Kane paces Winnipeg in scoring (25 points) and goals (15). The Jets currently sit in second place in the Western Conference's Southwest Division.
