In honor of the New York Islanders' 40th anniversary, here's a look back at their first Stanley Cup victory, in 1980. The following video is a CBS-channel 2 news report, with longtime New York sportscaster Len Berman, immediately after winning the Cup against the Flyers, when Mr. Islander, Bob Nystrom, scored a goal at 7:11 of overtime in Game 6. And his work ethic and hustle have not been forgotten by the team, as every year they hand out the Bob Nystrom Award, for the player who best exemplifies leadership, hustle and dedication.
