The New York Islanders dropped their sixth consecutive game Thursday night, falling to the Winnipeg Jets by a final of 3-0. During the six-game losing streak the Islanders have been outscored by a total of 20-7, including two 3-0 shutouts.

This loss drops the Isles record to 3-5-2 on the season, who sit in last place in the Atlantic division with eight points.

Islanders defenseman Travis Harmonic – who may have been fired up facing his hometown team, the Jets – dropped his gloves and fought with Jets Left Wing Evander Kane

"I found a willing combatant in Evander Kane, he's a tough kid and I think he wanted to go as well, so I just tried to do it for those reasons," Harmonic said.

One of the lowlights for the Isles occurred when defenseman Andew MacDonald scored an own goal in the third period, expanding the Jets lead to two.

The Islanders will look to end their losing streak Saturday when they host the 8-2 Washington Capitals.
