The New York Giants will have Sean Locklear starting at left tackle on Wednesday night at MetLife Stadium when Big Blue begins its title defense against the Dallas Cowboys.
Most people expected that Will Beatty would be manning that spot provided he was healthy, but that's not the case despite Beatty being back at practice and moving around without pain. Head coach Tom Coughlin feels Locklear is the right move for now. Beatty has only recently begun practicing. The expectation is that wehn he is ready for full-time duty he will go back to that spot.

Offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said the team considered flip-flopping right tackle David Diehl and Locklear, but ultimately decided on a different course of action.
"We did, we did. Very much so," Gilbride said. "But right now, Sean is playing very well, so he’s been really as good as anybody we’ve had."
Locklear will have his hands full, facing sack-master DeMarcus Ware on a national stage.
