When it comes to quarterbacks in New York, Tim Tebow gets most of the headlines. Why? Well, because he is Tebow. Mark Sanchez probably gets the second-most headlines, mostly because he is associated with Tebow and people think Tebow will eventually take his job.
↵New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning? He has two Super Bowl rings, including a brand-new one, and pretty much nobody talks about him. During a recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show Manning said he was just fine with that.
↵"I'm not looking for attention. I'm not out there trying to make a scene or cause any uproar by any means. I'm just getting ready to help out the Giants and put us in a situation to win some games," Manning said.
↵Speaking of winning games, Manning knows how close the 9-7 Giants game to not even making the playoffs in 2011.
↵"I think the attitude is, Hey, we went 9-7 last year and hardly made the playoffs. We could have easily gone a very different route. We had to make a lot of fourth-quarter wins. And that's fun, those are fun to do, but we gotta be better. We gotta become a better team all around," Manning said.
