2012 NFL Mock Draft: Mel Kiper Projects Giants To Pick TE Coby Fleener, RB David Wilson In First Two Rounds

ESPN NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest Mock Draft is out. He went two rounds with this mock draft. He sees the New York Giants addressing offensive needs with their picks in the first two rounds.

With the 32nd pick in the First Round, Kiper sees New York taking Stanford tight end Coby Fleener (6-6, 247). Fleener is the best tight end available, according to Kiper.

The best tight end on the board, Fleener has the speed to be used off the line, where he can become a matchup problem and further diversify an already strong passing attack. Fleener has great hands, fantastic route-running ability and will become a big threat in the red zone. The Giants also need offensive line help, or could target a linebacker here, but Fleener fits. With their Second Round selection (63rd), Kiper has the Giants taking Virginia Tech running back David Wilson. In comparing Wilson to former Giant running back Brandon Jacobs, Kiper sees Wilson as being more explosive. Wilson wasn't the feature back for the Hokies until last season, but had a fine junior season with 1,709 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and 9 touchdowns.
