In SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft, Ryan Van Bibber projects that the New York Giants use the 32nd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft to select Jonathan Martin, a tackle from Stanford.
New York is parting ways with 32-year-old Kareem McKenzie, its right tackle since 2005. More notable, the Giants got by with the temporary solution of David Diehl filling in on the left side with William Beatty out of action last season. They need depth at tackle, and Martin can compete for a starting job immediately.
The National Football Post ranks Martin No. 61 on its 2012 NFL Draft Big Board, praising his athleticism but citing concerns about his strength and physicality. Mocking The Draft echoes concerns about Martin's strength, but notes that he is "often the fastest lineman off the line of scrimmage" and that his technique is fundamentally sound.
