As Super Bowl hype continues to build in Indiana, the rest of the NFL outside the New York Giants and New England Patriots has turned its sights to the NFL Draft.
SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL mock draft is one of several that have projected the Giants to select Zebrie Sanders, a 6-6, 307-pound offensive lineman from Florida State.
Part of the reason the Giants are picking where they are in the 2012 NFL Draft is because GM Jerry Reese has done such an amazing job building his defensive line. Now, the Giants must turn their attention to the offensive line. Sanders upgrades their right side, and could even learn the ropes to play on Eli Manning's blind side.
Sanders is viewed by Mocking The Draft as "a decent athlete with quick feet and good balance" who has "ability to protect the edge and anchor after initial contact." Despite playing right tackle at Florida State, Sanders is viewed as a versatile talent who could potentially shift to protecting a quarterback's blind side in the NFL.
His stock could be falling, though, after a poor performance during Senior Bowl practices. SB Nation's Alfie Crowand SI.com's Tony Pauline both criticized Sanders after a week during which he was reportedly one of the NFL Draft's biggest losers.
