2012 NFL Mock Draft, New York Giants Prospect Profiles: Cordy Glenn, G, Georgia

The New York Giants and their fans are not thinking about the 2012 NFL Draft yet. The Giants still have bigger fish to fry, like tacking the AFC champion New England Patriots in the 2012 Super Bowl on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis.

That said, the April 2012 NFL Draft is coming, and mock draft season is in full swing with 30 teams having nothing to do but look toward next season. In its latest mock draft, SB Nation has selected Georgia offensive guard Cordy Glenn for the Giants with the 31st pick.

Giants fans would rather have the 32nd pick, to be honest, since that would mean a Super Bowl victory over the Patriots. Getting Glenn, or a guy like him, is not a bad idea, though.

The Giants offensive line is aging and Eli Manning was sacked six times and hit nearly 20 other times Sunday against San Francisco. The line needs replenishing.

Glenn is a 6-foot-5, 320-pounder who can play tackle or guard. Mocking The Draft calls him “one of those rare prospects that possesses both the size and athletic skills to make an impact in the NFL.”
