Giants Co-Owner Steve Tisch: Week 16 Victory Over Jets A 'Kind Of A Mini-Super Bowl'

New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch feels that the team's Week 16 victory over the Jets 'solidified' the team emotionally (via True Blue). Tisch also described the importance of the 29-14 win by saying

"In its own unique way, it was kind of a mini-Super Bowl," Tisch said in the Giants' locker room today. "It was a very important game. There was a lot more at stake than just a regular season game that happened to be against the Jets. New York City. Pride. Jets fans, Giants fans. Two different cultures. Two different sets of mythologies."

The Giants will play the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Lambeau Field (4:30 p.m., TV: FOX) for a spot in the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 22. Will the momentum from the win over the Jets continue to carry the Giants against Green Bay this weekend? We don't have much longer to wait to find out.
