The New York Giants continued to slowly build their 2011 training camp roster today, adding two more players who will -- at the very least -- provide competition for spots on the final 53-man roster. Both names should be familiar to Giants' fans -- running back Andre Brown and veteran offensive lineman Stacy Andrews.
Brown was the Giants' fourth-round pick in the 2009 draft. He missed that season with an Achilles Tendon and was waived prior to last season. He has been a vagabond since, twice being signed and let go by Denver, and having had stops with Indianapolis, Carolina and Washington.
Andrews is an eight-year veteran and brother of Shawn Andrews, who the Giants released last week to save salary cap space. Stacy Andrews is a 6-foot-6, 318-pound veteran who can play both guard and tackle. Entering his eighth season he has played for Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Seattle. He started 12 games for the Seahawks last season.
