The Wednesday Video: Mark Bavaro

Welcome to a new feature here at SB Nation New York. Every Wednesday I'll scrounge up a New York sports-related video that will bring back memories, make us laugh, make us cry, make us scratch our heads, make us go out and do good deeds and completely change our lives (ok, none of that will most likely happen, but we'll be entertained nonetheless).

With football just a few short weeks away, our inaugural video is intended to get us ready for the upcoming season. Every fan wants their team to win, of course, but they also want them to be a tough, blue-collar, play-all-out group that intimidates and pushes around their opponents. And one of the greatest examples of that attitude is right here. It's Mark Bavaro famously dragging the San Francisco 49ers defense down the field on Monday Night Football, on December 1, 1986. The play inspired the New York Giants, who overcame a 17-0 deficit to win 21-17, and, of course, they ended the season as Super Bowl champions.
