NFL Draft 2011: Tyron Smith To Dallas Cowboys

The player the Dallas Cowboys were expected to take by many draft analysts, USC offensive tackle Tyron Smith, turned out to be their selection at No. 9 Thursday night in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

The San Francisco 49ers took defensive end/linebacker Aldon Smith at No. 7. The Tennessee Titans took Washington quarterback Jake Locker No. 8, bypassing Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert. You have to wonder if Gabbert will wind up with the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota has the 12th selection.

The New York Giants have the 19th overall selection in the first round. The New York Jets have the 30th selection.

The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28th and SB Nation has everything you need to prepare for it - NFL mock drafts, draft projections, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule and more.
