Kenny Britt, Former Rutgers Star, Arrested Again

Kenny Britt, former Rutgers University football star and current starting wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, was arrested Tuesday. Britt, 22, was charged with three crimes -- including a felony -- after a chase with police officers in Bayonne, N.J.

Britt was charged with eluding an officer, lying to an officer and obstruction and given a court date of April 19. Britt drew attention from police when they spotted his car going 71 mph in a 50-mph zone.

Britt has had several other off-the-field incidents while with the Titans.

Britt was drafted 30th in the first round of the 2009 draft by the Titans. The New York Giants selected wide receiver Hakeem Nicks with the 29th pick, leaving some fans disappointed that the Giants passed over the local product in favor of Nicks.

Considering how things have worked out it looks like Giants General Manager Jerry Reese made the right call. Britt has 84 catches and several brushes with the law in two seasons. Nicks has 126 catches in his two seasons, looks like a future Pro Bowler and has been a model citizen.
