Sunday's 29-14 victory over the New York Jets has not only put the New York Giants in solid position to earn the NFC East Division title, but helped the G-Men move up the ladder in the Week 17 NFL Power Rankings, which were released on Monday and Tuesday. In NFL.com's rankings, which are released Tuesday and last week had New York slotted at No. 14, the Giants moved up to No. 10. Meanwhile, SI.com's Peter King, who releases his rankings on Monday morning, he moved them up from No. 15 to No. 9.
As for the loser of Sunday's New York showdown, the Jets (8-7), they fell in both rankings, as NFL.com has Gang Green ranked No. 16, while Peter King does not have them ranked in his top 15 poll.
