David Baas Injury Update: Coughlin Indicates Baas Back In Giants Starting Lineup

The New York Giants expect to see David Baas playing center on Saturday against the New York Jets. Baas has missed three games in a row due to a neck injury and intense headaches. Baas believes he will be ready to go this weekend.

"That's my plan," Baas said. "We're still continuing to go out there and practice and go normal routine, check in with the doctors and make sure everything is good. As far as I'm concerned, that's my view that I'm going to be out there." (via ESPN New York)

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin had said on Wednesday that Baas status was touch and go. However, after today, Coughlin might be leaning toward putting Baas back in as the starter.

he seemed to indicate on Thursday that Baas would be back at center and Kevin Boothe, who has started the last three games at center, would be sliding to left guard. (via ESPN New York)
