Week 16 NFL Predictions And Picks: Giants Beat Jets In Battle Of New York

The two SB Nation New York NFL franchises play each other Saturday (1 p.m. on FOX) in a huge game that has a lot at stake. So, who's going to win the Big Apple showdown? Jared Smith has the answer in his Week 16 NFL Picks and Predictions.

In the season of giving, I've decided that I am going to give a gift to my readers this week -- one more game! Oh yes, after going 2-3 last week and dropping my overall record to 35-32-2, I've decided the best gift I could give people is more me!

Here are my Week 16 NFL Picks and Predictions:

Jets (-3) vs. Giants (Sat., 1 p.m. on FOX): Holy! What a match up this is! So, who's going to be the winner between two teams that should be better than their records? -- Jets (8-6), Giants (7-7). Well, if history proves anything, it's that in games like this the G-Men and Eli Manning find a way to win and they will Saturday. Prediction: Giants 24, Jets 21.

Broncos (-3) at Bills (Sat., 1 p.m. on CBS): Tim Tebow's magic ran out last week against the New England Patriots. This week, there will be more talk of Tebow as he helps Denver (8-6) beat slumping Buffalo (5-6). Prediction: Broncos 20, Bills 17.

Lions (-3) vs. Chargers (Sat., 4:05 p.m. on CBS): Detroit (9-5) pulled off a remarkable comeback last week, and I think they will use that momentum and beat San Diego (7-7). Prediction: Lions 28, Chargers 24.

Cowboys (-3) vs. Eagles (Sat., 4:15 p.m. on CBS): This just feels like a game that Dallas is going to blow, no? Philadelphia (6-8) continues its rolls by downing Dallas (8-6) and makes the NFC East race interesting. Prediction: Eagles 27, Cowboys 21.

Packers (-13) vs. Bears (Sun., 8:20 on NBC): I have a feeling that Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay (13-1) are going to want to put prove to everyone how good they are after slipping up last week. Chicago (7-7) loses in a rout. Prediction: Packers 35, Bears 14.

Saints (-7) vs. Falcons (Mon., 8:30 p.m. on ESPN): New Orleans (11-3) doesn't need this game to hang onto the NFC South lead, so I have a feeling that Atlanta will sneak out this one. Prediction: Atlanta 27, Saints 24.

Last Week: 2-3-0. Overall: 35-32-2.
