New York Jets Injury Report, Week 16: Mark Sanchez Practices Fully, Special Teams Ailing

The New York Jets special teams unit remains a question mark entering Saturday's meeting with the New York Giants.

Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley, who regained New York's starting punt return job when safety Jim Leonhard suffered a season-ending knee injury, has missed the past two practices with an undisclosed illness. Kyle Wilson or Antonio Cromartie could fill the role if Kerley is unable to play Saturday.

Joe McKnight, who hasn't been able to return kickoffs since injuring his elbow, injured his shoulder this weekend and seems unlikely to return kicks again this weekend. McKnight did participate in a limited fashion at practice on Wednesday, but Cromartie will likely continue to return kicks.

Wide receiver Plaxico Burress was limited in practice by an undisclosed illness of his own. Quarterback Mark Sanchez (neck) participated fully, but offensive lineman Brandon Moore (hip) and cornerback Marquice Cole (knee) were both limited.
