New York Giants linebacker Michael Boley practiced today on a limited basis for the first time since injuring a hamstring three weeks ago agains the San Francisco 49ers. Boley said he “came out pretty good.”
“I got a couple reps during each period just to try to test it out and not try to overdo it today,” Boley said. “It is a big relief. I haven’t had too many hamstring problems but I heard that they are really tricky. They can be good one day and not so good the next. To come out today and get some work was pretty good.”
Head coach Tom Coughlin would only say Boley did “ok.”
After getting torched Monday night in a 49-24 loss to the New Orleans Saints the Giants could desperately use Boley’s presence Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. He is their most experienced linebacker, and has been calling their defensive signals this season.
