Forbes: Giants' Owners Are NFL's Best

According to Forbes the New York Giants have the best owners in the NFL in John Mara and Steve Tisch, and the Jets aren't far behind with Woody Johnson ranked as No. 6

New York Giants owners John Mara and Steve Tisch have been ranked as the best in the NFL in a list released this week by Forbes. Jets' owner Woody Johnson was ranked No. 6 in this study.

Since Mara and Tisch took over the Giants in 2006 the value of the team has grown 33 percent – an NFL best – the Giants have won a Super Bowl and successfully built a new stadium. Those are some impressive accomplishments in the five years since Mara and Tisch took over control of the franchise from their fathers.

Joining Mara/Tisch and Johnson on Forbes list of top 10 owners are: Robert Kraft (Patriots), James Irsay (Colts), Public Stockholders (Packers), Jerry Jones (Cowboys), Alex Spanos (Chargers), Tom Benson (Saints), Dan Rooney (Steelers), Steve Bisciotti (Ravens).

The worst 10, according to Forbes are: William Clay Ford Sr. (Lions), Al Davis (Raiders), Ralph Wilson Jr. (Bills), Randy Lerner (Browns), Mike Brown (Bengals), Wayne Weaver (Jaguars), Hunt Family (Chiefs), Malcolm Glazer (Buccaneers), Dan Snyder (Redskins), Pat Bowlen (Broncos).
