Will Beatty Injury Update: Left Tackle To IR, Chase Blackburn Re-Signed

The New York Giants made several roster moves today. Left tackle Will Beatty, who had to undergo surgery to repair a detached retina in his right eye, was placed on injured reserve. Beatty started the first 10 games of the season at left tackle for the Giants.

After that move was made, the team re-signed linebacker Chase Blackburn, a Giant from 2005-2010. New York also signed wide receiver Isaiah Stanback to the practice squad and terminated quarterback Ryan Perrilloux's practice squad contract for the sixth team this season.

Blackburn has been a key contributor on the Giants' special teams unit in the years he was on the squad. He was the Giants' leader in special teams in each of the last six years. During his career, he's played in 93 games (including 17 starts) and six postseason games. He's made 108 tackles (65 solo), 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, defended three passes, forced one fumbles and recovered two fumbles.
