New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has provided valuable ammunition for his team's offense on the field this season. But Monday night, Cruz was reportedly present for some real gunfire.
TMZ reports that Cruz was present at a New York City nightclub, Juliet Supperclub, when a shootout broke out. The celebrity gossip website reports that Cruz was not involved in the incident, though he was present at the time it occurred.
A man reportedly got through a pat-down Monday night and sneaked a gun into the club, shooting two people before escaping. One of the victims reportedly passed away, and the other is in critical condition. The shooter is still at large.
Cruz was reportedly celebrating his birthday at the nightclub when the incident took place. The wide receiver, who has become one of Eli Manning's favorite targets, turned 25 years old on Friday.
