Seahawks At Giants: Scouting Seattle

On paper, the 1-3 Seattle Seahawks appear to be offensively challenged. Seattle enters the game last in the NFL in yards per game (254.0), 29th in scoring (14.5 points per game) and 31st in the league in rushing offense 67.5 yards per game).

Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has completed 62.2 percent of his passes, but has just five touchdowns and four interceptions thus far. Leading rusher Marshawn Lynch is averaging only 35.3 yards per games.

Seattle’s best receiver is Sidney Rice, who has 11 catches in just two games and averaging 17.2 yards per catch. The Seahawks also feature dangerous veteran return man Leon Washington, a one-time New York Jet.

Seattle has lost to Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Atlanta so far in 2011. Their lone victory came at home against the Arizona Cardinals.
