The New York Giants did not respond with contempt to the victory guarantee put forth by Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Heck, they barely responded at all.
The Giants were unconcerned Friday after Marshall guaranteed a Miami victory on Twitter Thursday night.
"Right," defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora said, smiling. "Next."
"I don't entertain stuff like that," said safety Deon Grant, who ultimately entertained it, but said he had no issue.
"I don't have a reaction," Antrel Rolle added. "If that's the way he feels, that's the way he feels. The game still has to be played on Sunday."
Safety Deon Grant felt Marshall tweeted exactly what Marshall should believe.
"He didn't say nothing wrong to me," Grant said. "He said what he's supposed to say. If he don't think they're going to win he would be the dumbest player walking. He didn't say nothing wrong. It's not like he sent a shot out like he did last week the Jets, talking about busting somebody up. He just said he's going to get a victory."
Osi Umenyiora told reporters the Giants aren't worried about what Marshall says.
"We have bigger fish to fry," he said.
