The New York Giants rode a 17-point second quarter to a big 24-3 halftime advantage over the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that will determine first place in the NFC East with just two games remaining.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning is 16-of-25 for three touchdowns and one interception at the half.

Manning hit Mario Manningham for a 35-yard score to give the Giants a 7-0 lead. Philadelphia scored on a 34-yard David Akers field goal after a Manning pass was batted at the line and intercepted.

The Giants responded with a 33-yard touchdown pass from Manning to Manningham, a 25-yard Lawrence Tynes field goal and an eight-yard pass from Manning to Hakeem Nicks with just five seconds left in the half.

The final score came after Philadelphia’s Jeremy Maclin fumbled and Kenny Phillips returned the ball to the eight-yard line with just nine seconds left in the half. The play was called a catch and fumble on the field and upheld by the replay booth.

Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick has completed just six-of-10 passes for 33 yards.
